May the true teachings of Jesus(pbuh) guide us in this coming year....

قَالَ إِنِّي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ آتَانِيَ الْكِتَابَ وَجَعَلَنِي نَبِيًّا O وَجَعَلَنِي مُبَارَكًا أَيْنَ مَا كُنتُ وَأَوْصَانِي بِالصَّلَاةِ وَالزَّكَاةِ مَا دُمْتُ حَيًّا O وَبَرًّا بِوَالِدَتِي وَلَمْ يَجْعَلْنِي جَبَّارًا شَقِيًّا O وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيَّ يَوْمَ وُلِدتُّ وَيَوْمَ أَمُوتُ وَيَوْمَ أُبْعَثُ حَيًّا O ذَلِكَ عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ قَوْلَ الْحَقِّ الَّذِي فِيهِ يَمْتَرُونَ O
[But] he said: "Behold, I am a servant of God. He has vouchsafed unto me revelation and made me a prophet,and made me blessed wherever I may be; and He has enjoined upon me prayer and charity as long as I live, and [has endowed me with] piety towards my mother; and He has not made me haughty or bereft of grace. "Hence, peace was upon me on the day when I was born, and [will be upon me] on the day of my death, and on the day when I shall be raised to life [again]!" SUCH WAS, in the words of truth, Jesus the son of Mary, about whose nature they so deeply disagree.

On this blessed day when the world celebrates the birth of one of the greatest men to have walked the face of this earth, let us all resolve to work towards a more peaceful, equitable and just world, Amin! May his true teachings form the basis on which we lay the foundations of a new future, Amin!
